There’s no catch. The 1 MNOK investment is made through a single-purpose company on industry-standard terms, which are fully transparent and agreed upon before finalizing the deal.

The competition is open to startups based in Norway. While this year’s focus is on AI, robotics, and automation, startups from other fields are also welcome to apply. To be competitive, applicants should have a clear business plan, proof of concept, or minimum viable product (MVP).

Participants must arrive in Stavanger by lunchtime on April 9th. Pitches will take place from lunch until around 18:00, followed by an exclusive networking dinner and drinks at K8, hosted by Thommessen. This event provides a unique opportunity to engage with the 13 investors, as well as a broader network of venture capitalists and industry professionals. With five dedicated meeting rooms at Thommessen, participants can hold one-on-one discussions with investors throughout the day and evening.

During the evening, the three finalists will be announced. These finalists will pitch on the main stage at Impact Summit on April 10th at 16:00, with the winner receiving the 1 million NOK investment during the Impact Awards at 17:00.

All participants receive complimentary access to the Impact Summit, where they can attend key sessions and connect with thought leaders. Additionally, the event features the Investors Lounge, a closed area dedicated to one-on-one meetings with potential investors, providing a focused environment for deeper investment discussions. Innovation Dock and Super Duper Ventures review all applications and select the top 10 startups to pitch in front of investors on April 9th in Stavanger. After the pitches, the investors choose three finalists, who will present on stage during the Impact Summit. The winner is announced during the Impact Awards on the evening of April 10th.

The 1 MNOK investment is in exchange for a minority equity stake in your company. The valuation will be negotiated between the investors and the winning startup, considering factors like your business model, traction, and market opportunity.

In addition to the funding, you’ll gain access to the investors’ networks, mentorship, and potential follow-up funding opportunities. Many past finalists have also received additional investments totaling 4-5 MNOK.

There are no application or participation fees. The investment must be used to grow your business as outlined in your pitch and business plan. The funding is designed to accelerate your startup’s development and scalability.

The investment comes with no repayment obligations if your startup does not succeed. The investors understand the inherent risks of early-stage ventures and are focused on supporting innovation and growth.
